The PECO Model 356LXP is a narrow profile or “slim line” proximity sensor for steel or aluminum cans that easily mounts between conveyor side rails eliminating the need for rail cutting. The PECO 356LXP is a rugged, fully encapsulated, proximity switch that was designed for the harsh environment of can manufacturing and filling. It is “double protected” by a unique, proprietary encapsulating process against the ingress of moisture from coolants, lubricants and frequent wash downs. The 356LXP is short circuit and thermal overload protected to eliminate the most common cause of sensor failure and fully shielded to eliminate “lock up” from rail fringing when no cans are present. NPN and PNP outputs (sink and source) are standard and compatible with most programmable controllers like Allen-Bradley, General Electric, Gould, Omron, Texas Instruments, Siemens, and others. An indicator LED signals can presence or detection. |
